The Institute awards medals on an annual basis to any individuals involved in the metalforming industry. Individuals are invited to apply and all entries are judged on merit. The medals are presented at the Institute AGM.
Application is by submission of a report of up to 1000 words describing a project or application, innovative feature or solution to a metalforming problem. Diagrams or photographs that help to demonstrate the concepts will be welcomed. Papers presented at Institute events are automatically included.
Entries should be sympathetic to the aims of the Institute in the application of technology to the metal forming process.
Entries from younger members, apprentices or trainees are particularly welcome.
Please forward all entries to the Institute secretary. All entries will be acknowledged and the winners will be announced prior to the AGM.
Entrants should check any copyright issues of material submitted since the winning papers will be published in the Institute Journal.
